How to Use

1How do I send an email in Mailem?

To send an email in Mailem, click on the Send email button, which is located in the lower, right-hand corner of most of the pages. 


Alternatively:
  1. In the menu, click on the “Emails” tab.
  2. Click on “Send Emails.”
  3. Choose your account from the Select Account section.
  4. You can choose a specific date and time from the Delivery Time. If you would like to send your email(s) right away leave this field empty. 
  5. In the “Sender Name” field. you can type a name if you want to show a name in your email(s).
  6. In the “To” field, select a mailing list from the dropdown menu. You can select multiple mailing lists here depending on your preference.

Please note: If there are unverified email addresses in your list, the system will display a warning and ask you to verify these email addresses. 

  • Click on “Check My List(s)” if you would like to validate. 
  • If not, click on the “Close” button.
  1. Enter your email subject in the “Subject” field.
  2. In the Preview section, you must choose and adjust your email template. 
  3. If you have previously uploaded a template, select a template from the “Your templates” field.
  4. If you would like to choose a template from the Mailem Template Library, click on the “Change Template” button and select a template.
  5. If you would like to Import your template in HTML, click on the “Import HTML”. Type your HTML and then click on the “Import” button.
  6. To edit a template, you can click on the “Live Edit” button and easily edit with our creative edit tool. After editing the template click on the “Save” button.
  7. If you want to do a spam test before sending your email, click the "Spam test" button, if you don't, click the "Send Email" button.
2Can I email multiple mailing lists at once?

Yes. On the Send Email Page, you can select multiple mailing lists from the “To” section and send your email(s) at once.
Please note: You can only send mail lists created under the selected mail account!

3How do I create a Mailing List in Mailem?

To create a Mailing List in Mailem:

  1. In the menu, click on the “Mailing Lists” tab.
  2. Click on the “Add Mailing List” button.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select the email account that you would like to add mailing list.
  4. Enter an Alias address.
  5. Enter a name for your mailing list and add a description, if you prefer. 
  6. Click on the “Add Mailing List” button.
  7. Once the list is created, you can add emails manually or import a CSV file.
    • To add email addresses individually
      1. Click on the “Add a member” button.
      2. Enter Full Name and Email address. 
      3.  Click on the “Submit” button to save. 
    • To add email addresses in bulk
      1. Click on the “Add members from CSV” button.
      2. Upload your list.


4How can I edit a Mailing List in Mailem?

To edit a Mailing List in Mailem:

  1. In the menu, click on the “Mailing Lists” tab.
  2. Click on the actions button  ;
    • To edit the list name, alias, or description, click on the “Edit List” button.
    • To edit the list member, click on the “View/Edit Members” button. Here you can edit or delete the member(s) from the action column. 
  3. Click on the “Save changes” after editing.
5How can I delete a Mailing List in Mailem?

To delete a Mailing List in Mailem:

  1. In the menu, click on the “Mailing Lists” tab.
  2. Click on the actions button   
  3. Click the “Delete List” button.
  4. The system will request confirmation to check if any of the emails is used for an existing campaign; click on the “Check list” button to do so.
  5. On the next confirmation window, click on the “Yes, delete” button to complete.
6How can I verify a Mailing List?

To verify a Mailing List:

  1. Click on the “Mailing Lists” tab in the menu.
  2. Click on the actions button  
  3. Click the “Verify Your List” button.
  4. On the next screen click on the “Check My List” button.
  5. Once the process is finished, the verification is displayed on the Mailing Lists Page.
7What is Email Verification / Validation?
In Email Verification, Mailem checks a mailing list to verify if the addresses are valid and active.
8How can I Verify/Validate Emails in Mailem?

To Verify/Validate Emails in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Verify Emails” tab in the menu.
    • Here you can Paste email addresses and click on the “Check” button.
    • Or, you can upload a list and click on the “Check” button.
  2. In the “List of Created Verify Processes” section, you can see the progress and the total number of valid, invalid, and unknown emails. 
  3. Click on the numbers to see the email addresses.
  4. Additionally, Mailem will send a notification email to you when the verification process is completed.
9Where can I see the Email Verification List in Mailem?

To see the Email Verification List in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Verify Emails” tab in the menu.
  2. In the “List of Created Verify Processes” section, you can see the progress and the total number of valid, invalid, and unknown emails. 
  3. Click on the numbers to see the email addresses.      
10What is Spam Testing?

In the Spam Test, Mailem checks your email to see if certain spam filters will flag your email and remove it from a subscriber's inbox.

11How can I run a Spam Test in Mailem?

To run a Spam Test in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Tools” tab in the menu.
  2. Click on the “Test Mail” tab.
  3. Select an account.
  4. If you want to send your email with a  specific name, enter a sender name. If not, skip this.
  5. Type a subject and choose/edit your email template as you wish.
  6. Click on the “Test Email” button.
  7. This process can take some time. 
  8. To see the result: 
    1. Click on the “Reports” tab in the menu. 
    2. Click the “Spam Testing History” tab. 
    3. Here you will see the score once the test is completed.

You will receive a score, based on several criteria, that informs you whether your mail can be improved and whether it is secure, well-formed, and verified.

 

Additionally, Mailem gives you the Spam Test option on the Create Email page as well.

12How do I create a Drip Campaign in Mailem?

To create a Drip Campaign in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Emails” tab from the menu.
  2. Click the “Drip Campaigns” tab.
  3. Click on the create new campaign button that’s shaped like a plus, and is located on the bottom right of the page: 
  4. Type a Campaign Title.
  5. Enter a Sender Name.
  6. Enter a Signature, if you prefer. 
  7. Click on the “Next” button.
  8. In this step you need to add your recipients. You can add in bulk with CSV file upload or click on the “Add Recipients Manually” to add one by one. 
  9. Click on the “Upload” button to continue.
  10. Enter the subject of your email and the message. 
    • You can select the date & time from the right side.
    • You can click on the “Add Step” to create a follow-up email.
  11. After adding all the emails, click on the “Next” button.
  12. On the Preview step, inspect your email preview.
  13. Click on the “Next” button to continue.
  14. Choose your campaign settings; you can track email openings and schedule the first email date & time. 
  15. Click on the “Next” button to proceed.
  16. Click the “Save” button.
13Where can I see my Drip Campaigns in Mailem?

To see your Drip Campaigns in Mailem: 

  1. Click on the “Emails” tab in the menu.
  2. Click the “Drip Campaigns” tab.
    • Here you can see all the Drip Campaigns along with their KPIs and metrics (Total recipients, the total number of opens, the total number of delivered emails, etc.) 
    • You can click on a drip campaign to see more metrics such as sent, opened, and bounce rate.
14Can I pause my Drip Campaigns in Mailem?

Yes. To pause your Drip Campaigns in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Emails” tab from the menu and then the “Drip Campaigns” tab.
    • Here you can see all the Drip Campaigns.
  2. Then, click on the pause button for the related campaign.
15Can I schedule emails to be sent later?

Yes! In both emails and drip campaigns, you can schedule your email to be sent at a specific date and time.

On the “Send Email” page, choose a date and time on the Delivery Time field to schedule an email.

16Where can I see my Scheduled Mails in Mailem?

To see your Scheduled Mails in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Emails” tab in the menu.
  2. Click the “Scheduled Emails” tab.
17How can I add a Template to Mailem?

To add a Template in Mailem:

  1. Click on the “Emails” tab in the menu.
  2. Click the “Templates” tab.
  3. Click on the “Add New” button.
  4. Enter a name and a subject for your template.
  5. To choose a template from the template library: 
    1. Click the “Change Template” button.
    2. Modify the template with the “Live Edit” button.
  6. To upload a template:
    1. Click on the “Import HTML” button .
    2. Paste your template in HTML form. 
    3. After you add your HTML code, click on the “Import” button.
  7. Click on the “Save Template” button to complete.
